..decided to buy them. Yep my never ending quest for Star Wars action figures had led me to find a Clone Scout Trooper and Commander Faie, a Clone Engineer. I bumped into them at one of the shops in of all places - Kuala Lumpur International Airport about 2 weeks ago when I was dropping off my wife for her flight to China. Now the Clone Scout Trooper was seen in the Star Wars – Revenge of the Sith during the battle of Kashyyyk but the Clone Engineer Commander Faie is a concept character that did not make an appearance in the movie itself. Commander Faie’s helmet design is similar to that of the Stormtroopers and honestly I kinda liking it very much. Overall the detailing of these two action figures are quite good in my opinion.

Last Friday, my company decided to send me on a one day trip to Jakarta to do some software installation.
I wasn’t really happy at the thought of a one day trip because it meant rushing things one would normally take a fair amount of time to do. I never rush in doing things because if you do, chances are you bound to make some boo-boos. But since time is money and money is time, I had no choice but to say “Yes boss, no problem one, can do one”.
And so I had to get on the earliest flight available to Jakarta and latest flight back to Kuala Lumpur because time is money and money is time.
The two hour flight was relatively uneventful with the occasional “Ladies and gentlemen, kindly fasten your seat belt as we are experiencing air turbulence ” thingy. I was sleeping most of the time because getting up at 3.45am just to be at the airport at least two hours before the flight would make any man or woman deprived of sleep.
Once I touch down at Jakarta, I was fresh and ready to work. Yes I am in Jakarta just for work and not for a holiday – shucks…
The software installation was rather straight forward though quite time consuming. I took my time but found out that I took too much time and since time is money and money is time, I had to quickly hasten the installation process – i.e I had to stop day dreaming and concentrate on work.
I almost panicked when I ran out of time and since time is money and money is time if I didn’t complete the software installation properly, I would have to stay an extra day and since time is money and money is time, this was not an option. Luckily for me – well for the company, my scheduled flight back to Kuala Lumpur had been delayed by almost two hours. So time was on my side and I duly wrapped whatever loose ends on my part and felt a sense of relief that I had complete the task at had since time is money and money is time.
Honestly I would never want to experienced a one-day business trip ever again and would never volunteer to do it. Too bad I didn’t have the luxury of time to really visit Jakarta and mingle with the people. To me it’s the people who brings life to a city.
Maybe next time when time is not money and money is not time, I shall bring the whole family to visit Jakarta.

You know, when you start a collection of action figures, especially Star Wars ones, you just can’t stop. I got bitten by the Star Wars bugs way back in the late 70’s, early 80’s. Harrison Ford was way cool playing the role of Han Solo and Mark Hamil was so young and innocent playing the role of Luke Skywalker.
Fast forward in the year 1999 when George Lucas decided to release Episode I, II and III depicting the journey of a young Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader from a boy to a man who decided to dabble in the dark side of the force. George knew that he is gonna rake in the moolah not only from the revenue of movie ticket sales but also from the sales of Star Wars merchandise and with people like me gonna absolutely ga-ga over action figures, you know that George had a winning receipe.
I only started collecting Star Wars action figures beginning of this year when I first laid my eyes on the a 501st Clone Trooper from the Clone Wars series. Along the way I collected Captain Rex, Commander Cody, Space Trooper, Clone Pilot Oddball and the 212st battalion Clone Trooper. I’ve got nothing against action figures from the Clone Wars animated series but they just doesn’t seem to be the real Star Wars. That’s when I started to collect action figures from the Star Wars Episode I to IV and boy I am just chuffed. So I have decided show off…well more like display my Star Wars action figures.

Of the six Star Wars – The Legacy Collection action figures, my favourite is the 327st Star Corps Clone Trooper and the Saleucami Trooper. Both figurine are just inch perfect in my opinion. So what’s the next action figure in current wish list ? …that’s easy, it has got to be the Galactic Marine, Airborne Trooper and the Shock Trooper. Where to find them ? well I just have to find them and find them I will.

Guess what folks ? I’ve finally got myself the Clone Wars Republic Gunship toy vehicle produced by Hasbro!!! Yes I did and boy am I chuffed at this toy which I bought for RM250.00 from the blokes at Graffiti Toys in Berjaya Time Square , Kuala Lumpur.
This toy is very impressive in my opinion. It’s well put together i.e doesn’t look and feels flimsy. I just love the opening of both side doors by just a press of the button located on the between the two heavy gun turrets. I am digging the Twilek damsel in distress motif painted on both sides of the front section of the vehicle. I just love every thing about it basically. I mean it’s way cool in my opinion. Hasbro give yourself a pat on the back on this one.
So without further delay, I have uploaded some digital photos of my new Republic Gunship.

…yep..that’s what Clone Trooper Denal of the 501st legion said to Captain Rex while on board the Separatist Trade Federation Space Station. They were trying to blow up the station whilst Anakin goes and search for R2D2.
Hasbro has decided to make a figurine of Denal and I wish Hasbro ships to our shores as soon as possible. In fact I wish they ship all of the latest clone trooper action figures as well and pronto…

…yeah I’ve got to admit I have a liking for Crocs shoes – er well they’re not shoes technically – more like slippers. The model which I really love is the Crocs Yukon as shown below. It’s not really over the top and not really plain too plain. It’s just well…a Crocs..

….to store my Star Wars action figures as I just can’t leave ‘em standing on top of my computer. At first of I was toying on the idea of buying a Republic Gunship but then I stumbled upon an AT-TE as shown below…

Now judging from both video clips this toy does look quite substantial. I mean it’s size is similar to that of a full grown house cat. I am undecided on buying the Republic Gunship or the AT-TE…hmm…Republic Gunship or AT-TE….Gunship or AT-TE….Gunship..AT-TE…Gunship…AT TE…sigh….decisions, decisions, decisions…..

..got me Commander Cody, Clone Pilot Oddball and a Space Clone Trooper from a shop that sells all action figures from Star Wars, Transformers, GI Joe and even Ultraman!!!
I was awed at the massive collection this shop has…I mean the shop is literately filled with piles and piles of the latest action figures!!! I was salivating !!! I was having a massive hard on!!!!
I naturally went to the Star Wars section and managed to find OddBall and the Space Clone Trooper but could not find Commander Cody and so I asked the shop owner and asked him whether he has stock of Commander Cody action figure. When he pulled out a box stashed with only Commander Cody action figures, my I breathe a sigh of joy.
As I drew out my wallet from my back pocket, I was shocked to find out that the shop owner was selling the Star Wars Clone Wars action figure at RM50 a piece whereas Toys ‘R’ Us were retailing them at RM36.99 a piece. Why the RM14 price difference ????
Me : Err..isn’t the recommended retail price is RM36.99 ?
Shop Owner : Friend, Hasbro Malaysia only sells me in set of an assortment of 6 action figures and not in loose pieces..
Me : Err…so ???
Shop Owner : So…most of the time, people rather buy a certain action figure character and not the whole assortment of 6 action figures..
Me : Okay….but the RM14 price difference is kinda high don’t you think ?
Shop Owner : Yeah..but that’s how I need to cover my cost mah…
Right……at first I wanted to walk out of the shop but since I rarely come to KL let alone Berjaya Times Square, I might as well I all three and so I took out my plastic card to purchase all three action figures.
Now I’ve got in my collection, Clone Trooper of 501st Legion, Captain Rex, Commander Cody, Clone Pilot Oddball and Space Clone Trooper. Hmmm…who else I need…oh ya…Commander Gree.

Now, I got to find a way to display my collection of clone troopers in a nice way rather than just placing on top of my computer. One well two words comes to mind..Republic Gunship…yes I need to buy a Republic Gunship to house all of my clone troopers and that’s next on my shopping list.
