As I was going through the heaps of CD’s in my CD case, I came across a CD that contains a short clip of an ultra scan image of my unborn son. This particular short clip of my shows his face, well sort of. Hmmmm, my son seems to be a natural in front of the camera eh ? .hehehehe

Anyway, son, Papa is eagerly waiting for you to come out and play football. I heard footballers makes tons and tons of money, well not hear in Malaysia but in England. Son, I’m gonna enroll you to Liverpool Football Club youth team and you’re gonna be a great football player. :-)

My First Breath August 28, 2006

Today is exactly 36 years since the day I crawled out of my cramped and dark living conditions and took my first breath of air. I was blind, starked naked and in need of food. For 10 long agonising months I was living in dark, lonely and cramped conditions.
There were no TV, no PS2 and no Internet (to surf p0rn). Food was in abundance and of course free, though I vaguely remembered how it tasted. I always fed on time and not sure what I went into my stomach.I vividly remember that there was plenty of liquid all around me. It was as if I was constanly swimming and couldn’t drown.
Funny feeling though, floating in a small place with nothing much to do but to wait and wait and wait for 10 agonising months and then ‘BAMMMMM!!!!’…you’re out. Someone pulled me out from that cramped living conditions. I said to myself..”Hey….who da fook are you barging into my comfy place to drag me out!!!”.I tried my darnest best to stay in but the bugger pulled a cord that was attached to my belly button. I said to myself, “Uh oh, I’m a goner now”.
And so I slid down a tunnel head first. DAMN!!!..my head hurt because the “Exit” door was so small. Finally, inch by inch I was dragged out and turn upside down. Then some wiseass slapped by butt like he has a fetish for smooth soft asses. DAMN!!!!! my ass hurts!!!!! I was then wrapped in some white coloured cloth like a burrito and placed in the arms of the most beautiful chick I’ve eversince in my life. This chick happens to be my Mum. Mum was so warm and tender and I just slept in her arms.
But then I started to think. NO MORE FREE FOOD, NO MORE FREE RENTAL!!!!!! I HAVE TO WORK TO EAT AND PAY RENT. LIFE SUCKS!!! I WAS BETTER OF IN THE CRAMP LIVING CONDITIONS!!!!!

Money Can’t Buy Success August 24, 2006

Middlesborough 2 Chelsea 1

That was the result of the EPL Match played yesterday at the Riverside. Man I wanted jumped for joy when I heard it over the radio (I was driving to work at that time), but being strapped into my car seat whilst driving on the PLUS Seremban-KL highway to work, I decided not to.

Now I was a perplexed as to how an expensive assembled EPL team like Chelsea can lose dramatically in the last 10 minutes to a team which has a habit of losing a lead is beyond comprehension. I mean Chelsea with a pool of talent footballers can’t beat a team which consists of mainly unwanted footballers past their prime. It goes to show you that money can’t buy success. Determination and the will to will does.

To all Chelsea fans out there, “YOU BEEN GIVEN A LESSON THAT MONEY CAN’T BUY YOU SUCCESS”.

As I was redoing an IT proposal, suddenly I got an external call and the conversation went like this

Me …..: Hello ?
Caller : Is this the company secretary ?

Me……: Um…no I think you’ve got the wrong extension
Caller : Ok…Nevermind…but did you receive the proxy..blah-blah-blah ?
(I was like…lady…didn’t you hear what I said to you just now ah ?…you’ve got the wrong extension lah)

Me……: I wouldn’t know because I am not the company secretary

Caller : Is this XXX Bhd ?

Me …..: Yes it is ma’am but you got the wrong extension…let me–(the caller interrupted me)

Caller : But this is the number mah !!!! (her voice getting a louder when she said “mah”)

(I wanted to pass the line to the company secretary but decided not to because she did’nt let me finish my sentence.)

Me……: Ma’am the number to dial is 03-XXXX-XXXX

Caller : Oh its X X X X – X X X X. The company secretary is Ms. XXXXXX right ?

Me …..: No ma’am its Ms. YYYYYYY

Caller : Is Ms YYYYY in the office ah ?

Me……: Not sure ma’am

Caller : Ok lah. Thank you.

It’s quite amusing that had she let me pass the her call to the company secretary, she would had save her time and money to call again.

I can’t understand why people don’t even bother to read their office emails sent by me to them.

This morning I took the trouble to email to all my office colleagues about intermittent connection issues to our web mail server being hosted in Jaring Data Centre. After I’ve sent the emails to my colleagues, 2 minutes have past by and one of my colleague called me on my telephone extension demanding an explanation to my email.

Since I am such a nice person, I politely told her about that the problem is beyond our control and as usual she refuses to accept my explanation. She told me that as an IT expert (I never ever profess to be an expert in anything…except eating), I should be able to know the problem and find a solution. I told her that in this particular instance, the line connection problem is beyond my control. It was clearly stated in my email that there is a technical problem in which these two telcos were trying their darnest best to detect the root cause of the problem and to find a solution.

After listening to my explanation, she then abruptly put down the phone. I was thinking…’Come on lah babe, no need to be so rude over the phone and slamming the phone so hard’. A simple ‘Thank you’ would do, which is not so difficult eh ?

Perhaps she needs to watch Barney and Friends or Sesame Street or both to learn to say “Thank You” eh ?

Nope, I ain’t talking about a boxing match. I am talking about my wife expecting our second child and I am thrill to bits. You know why ? It’s because its a boy(the first born is a daughter, more on her later).

YES A BOY. HALLEUJAH !!! and it’s due this year November, same birth month as my daughter, my wife and my mother-in-law. I remember the smile I had on my face when the doctor told us that its a boy. My smile was a long as the River Nile.I mean, I never felt so relieved in my entire life. It was like a huge burden was off my shoulders.

I wanted to jump up and yell “OH WHAT A FEELING, TOYOTA“. But I decided not to and pretended everything was cool and fine. You know, we male species were never programmed to show our feelings.

Anyway, I think my parents, especially my mum would be so happy that she’s gonna get grandson. I mean she does have a grandson, but it not my the Chin clan. Being the only son in the family, the pressure was on me to ‘get the job done’. Well, I’ve done my part and I am as eager as a beaver to wait for the arrival of my son. But whatever it is, I still adore and love my daughter, whom to me is such a bundle of joy. A cheeky little girl who will do almost anything to gain attention from her parents and her ah-ma (her grandmother).

Four more months till the wife and I get to see the arrival of our son and we are counting the days.

Yeap, its that time of the year where all footies start to focus their attention to the 2006/07 EPL season. Some of us will forgo our weekend nights with our loved ones just to see our favourite EPL team playing on the telly.

I support Liverpool…let me rephrase…I worship Liverpool. But DAMN….how can a top team play so badly against a newly promoted team, Sheffield United, it’s beyond me. The Reds played like school kids..wait even worse…they played like bunch of sisses. I admit that Liverpool deserved to lose and not draw against Sheffield United as they were a better team. Sheffield played with their heart and soul. They played as if it was a do or die mission for them. How I wish Liverpool played like that. Wishfull thinking I guess.

Now Rafa gonna bring in a Dutch striker with a funny surname..Kuyt. How the hell do one pronounce Kuyt ?…should it be pronounced as ‘Koo Yeet’ or ‘Quit’. I have never heard of Kuyt before and I hope that his Dutch striker can score goals the moment he steps onto the football pitch. If not…man Rafa better be packing his bags and go back to Spain.

Chelsea and ManU demolished their opponents during their opening matches. They played with convincing fashion.

DAMN!!!!YOU LIVERPOOL….if you keep on playing like what you played against Sheffield United…you will definitely be walking alone!!!!

During my drive back to my house after morning breakfast with my wife and my daughter, I decided drop at the CELCOM Kajang branch to pay my handphone bill using my credit card (at the time not enough money in the my wallet). And so I drove to the only CELCOM branch in Kajang, got down from the car and proceed towards the main entrance. I then noticed that the main entrance was locked and that there was a sign that stated the branch is closed on every 1st and 3rd Saturday. I said to myself, “Come lah CELCOM. Just because government offices and banks throughout Malaysia closes on 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, doesn’t mean you have to lah”.

I can’t believe it at all. I mean if a mamak restaurant opens daily and at times 24 hours a day, why can’t CELCOM open on every working Saturday? I mean, CELCOM is a service oriented company and being a service oriented company it should at least open its doors on weekends.

DAMN!!!!

Should have bought a Motorbike August 18, 2006

Yes, traffic jams in KL/Klang Valley area is what I have to go through almost every single day of my life. This morning, the traffic heading to KL from the PLUS highway just after the Sungai Besi Toll was horrendous. Normally traffic flow on a Friday morning is relatively smooth with the occasional stop-and-go, nothing to get stressed out about. But this morning’s traffic was shall I say, “Out of this world”. Traffic was almost at a standstill and the queue was as long as a queue in the supermarket check out counter. It was so bad until I thought of wanting to step out of my car and just walk. I should have bought a Motorbike (kapchai) instead of a new car or should have kept my old car and bought a new motorbike to go to work. A motorbike has its advantages obviously,

  • Motorbikes are exempted from paying toll.
  • Motorbikes are immune to traffic jams.
  • Motorbikes are easy to handle – just twist and go.
  • Motorbikes are cheap to maintain.
  • Motorbikes are cheap to buy.
And the list goes on….DAMN….I should have bought one.
