It’s been a while…. May 29, 2008

Begining of May 08, I received a registered letter from the boys in blue a.k.a. PDRM (Polis DiRaja Malaysia) and as you all know, if one receives a letter from PDRM, it’s has to mean one thing, you’ve committed a traffic offense.

Yes I committed the cardinal sin of speeding way beyond the speed limit of 70km/h some where in Putrajaya. In fact based on the summons, I was speeding about 99km/h. And so I was caught. Fair enough. I have to pay for the speeding summons. I seriously hope the authorities revise the speed limit as 70km/h is oh so slooooooooooowwwwwwwwww !!!

But as you also know, we Malaysians have a gift. Yes a gift to appeal to the boys in blue to either reduce the speeding fine or better yet, to not charge us a single sen. Some of us are good at this appealing thingy and some of us aren’t and I am the latter. But when I read that the maximum speeding fine amount is RM300, I started to panic. RM300 is a lot of money you know…a lot of money. Heck with RM300, I could :-

  1. Buy some nice Hush Puppies casual shoes
  2. Buy an original Liverpool Football club team jersey
  3. Do some sound proofing on my car
  4. Get a pair of Oakley spectacles
  5. Or just put the money in a joint-account savings…

So, rather than paying RM300, I went to the nearest police station asked the police officer what should I do. The pretty woman police officer politely told me to write a simple letter of appeal and based on that letter they can reduce the speeding fine by half. Ok lah…paying RM150 isn’t that painful as paying RM300.

So I quickly rushed back home and started to write a letter of appeal. But then it struck me. It’s been quite a long time since I last wrote a letter in Bahasa Malaysia. I could write the letter of appeal in English, but then it wouldn’t be proper lah. So I sat there, in front of my computer, thinking what are the suitable words in Bahasa Malaysia and it took me two hour just to figure out the suitable words in Bahasa Malaysia. Yes two bloody hours and I ain’t sure whether the words used are suitable or the grammar is correct. Below is the letter….So how is it ? Boleh ke tidak ? ;)

Yes, I have decided to ditch blogspot because I don’t quite like it’s features which I find it quite difficult and not so user friendly. I even managed to import all postings and comments from blogspot site to wordpress thanks to it’s import features. :)

But I am facing a slight problem of DNS transfer which I reckon it will be settled in no time. ;)

About a week ago, I posted about the agony of waiting for the result my routine annual medical check up, well I wouldn’t say routine because my last medical check-up was back in 2005.

My wife collected the results on my behalf, ( thank you, Low Poh  ), and there were two things which the doctor highlighted in the results. It had do to with my cholesterol level, the good and the bad.

My bad cholesterol’s level was above the maximum level whereas and my good cholesterol’s level was below the minimum level. So I guess I have to do the following:-

1. I have to exercise more – least three time a week as at the moment I only exercise once a week
2. Cut down on fatty and deep fried foods
3. Reduce sugar intake

Trying to stay healthy isn’t easy :(

Today I am going to visit the clinic which I and me wife went to have our yearly medical checkup to collect the results. I am really anxious to know whether my health condition is a-okay or otherwise.

I hope that the results of my medical check-up is a-okay without any major complications..read…”my spark plugs are still in mint condition and giving the right spark.”

But I a have hunch that the doctor will say this: -

“Mr Chin, overall your health seems fine and I find there nothing much to worry about, BUT you need to reduce your weight as you are about 10kgs above the minimum weight for your height” (I am 5ft 9 inches).

But I love to eat woh…. :(

Or

“Mr. Chin, overall your health seems find and I find there’s nothing much to worry about, BUT, I notice that your sperm count is lesser than normal.”

Aiyoh…low sperm count…ah!!..Does that mean I am in danger of losing my MOJO ?!! :(

Or

“Mr. Chin, overall your health seems find and I find there’s nothing much to worry about, BUT, I notice that you have a slight murmur in your heart beat.”

Err…but my heart still beats woh !!!..or is this the result of surfing too much porn ah ? :(

Whatever the results of the medical check-up, I do honestly hope that it’s a-okay with no major health complications. I want to see my two young kids grow up to be good citizens (yeah right!!!) and me wife and I have a long and lasting relationship (on the bed) together.
