Today me wife wanted to have lunch with me at a Japanese restaurant and since both of us are on leave and she insist on paying for it, I agree to it loh and oh by the way, it was my birthday lunch treat.

Anyway, the restaurant named Miyagi Japanese Restaurant is located in Bandar Baru Bangi and according to me wife, this restaurant had been in business for over a decade. The main entrance mimics exactly of a typical Japanese restaurant, i.e the main entrance is bascially comprises of two sliding wooden doors. Once you’ve stepped in, you’re greeting with a typical Japanese styled layout. There’s the so called sushi bar without the sushi, there’s a typical japanese furniture, there are Japanese kanji writings all over the place, there’s bamboo sticks on the ceiling. Basically the owner did her best to bring Japan to Bangi..ha ha ha..

The food, well, it’s quite tasty in my opinion. Both of us had the California Rolls as the appetizier and for the main course, I ordered the Beef with teriyaki sauce set and me wife ordered some fish with teriyaki sauce set but her’s came with garlic rice whereas mine came with them sticky Japanese rice. I finished my lunch in about 20 minutes since I was very hungry whereas my wife took her own sweet time enjoying her lunch.

I managed to take some pictures of the place via my Samsung i600 mobile phone hence the pics may not be of real camera quality lah…

…me.

Happy Birthday to me..

Happy Birthday to meeeeeeeeeee

Haaapppyy Birthhhdaay to meeeeeeeeeeeee

Yep…today is my 38th birthday. I am 38 years old. I have lived for 38th years on planet earth and god willing will keep on living. How does feel being 38 ? Well nothing really. Being 38 years of age is just like any other day. Age is just a number which can work for your or against you. The older you are the more respect you get – so they say lah. The older you are the more experienced you are – but then you could be doing the same thing for 10 over years incorrectly. For me the older one gets, the more difficult is for you to find a high paying job because someone younger can do the same job cheaper. The older you are the more likely you’ll get to be called an ‘Uncle’ or ‘Auntie’ – assuming you’re a woman.

The older you are, does not necessarily mean you’re wiser. I still make the same mistakes over and over again. I still do things without thinking. In fact I still act like an adolescent. I still love to play video games. I still love to window shop at Toys ‘r Us or any toy shop for that matter of fact. I still love to watch cartoons. I still love to act blur. I still love to poke fun at people. I still love to make fun at people.

Actually , I still love being who I am no matter how old I am. I am comfortable being 38, 48, 58, 68 or even 108. So here’s to me being 38years of age *opening up a bottle of coke*

There seems to be a trend… August 26, 2008

..among local English radio stations to pose question to its listeners about human relationship.  I give you some examples of such a question..

  1. “What would you do if you caught your girlfriend or wife cheating on you ?”
  2. “Do you mind if your boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband still keeps in touch or are still friends with their ex-girlfriend/boyfriend” ?
  3. “Is your wife/husband suspicious of you keeping in touch with your ex girlfriend/boyfriend? “

Now to me, as a husband and a father, these type of question is oh so trivial, so out-of-date, so ’so what ?’. To me it’s the norm for me keeping in touch with my ex-girlfriend. It’s normal for my wife to be suspcious of me if my ex-girlfriend calls me. What is the big fuss ???? We live in modern times where it’s normal to have relationships with other than our current partners. Relationship here means a healthy relationship not an erotic one lah wei.

Why can’t radio stations poses more meaningful or thought provocative questions ??

What is your opinion about recycling in Malaysia? Do you think the Government has done enough to promote the recycling habit amongst the Rakyat?

or

Do you think is wise for the Government to spend a sizeable amount of money to send a Malaysian to space?

These are the type of questions that keep me glued to the radio by just listening to the views and opinions of the listeners who answer these type of questions. To me it’s more enjoyable than just listening to people give their views about broken hearts, cheating partners and what not.

So as a reader of this blog…what do you think ?
