..sent a text message to me that in Parkson Grand, Alamanda branch had the 2009 Star Wars Legacy Collection action figures. Being a true blue Star Wars fan, Peeps bought the Sand Trooper action figure to add to his fine collection and asked me whether I would be interested in any of the action figures. Naturally I said yes and replied to him whether there is the 501st Clone Trooper as seen in the Revenge of the Sith and you know what, Peeps said “Yes got, I buy for you lah”. I was jumping for joy and after work rushed to his office in Bangi, paid him the RM39.90 and thanked him for being a nice bloke that he is.

501st Clone Trooper
What I truly love of this 501st Clone Trooper action figure is the addition of weathering or worn/battle damage marks especially on the helmet and on the shoulder pads as shown in the below images.

Boy oh boy, Peeps old buddy, you da man..you da man…Thanks mate !!!

..according to sources from the Mountains of Woo Tan ..(I made that one up)..taiji is a form of exercise to help cleanse the mind and soul. It’s supposed to help one to achieve a self actualization and achieve greater mental strength.
My wife upon her return from a one week business trip in China many weeks ago decided that I should I enlist a help of one famous taichi master living in the Mountains of Woo Tan..(I made that one up). I told my wife that in no circumstances I need to seek a help of some so called taichi master to enable me to achieve self actualization. I don’t believe in such a thing called self actualization. Give me a 50″ LCD Panel TV with access to all the channels in the world, game consoles (XBOX, PS2, Wii) , an endless supply of beer and free access to Hasbro Star Wars merchandise and I am a happy and contented man. Who cares about self actualization!!!!
But being a caring wife that she is, she decided to buy me something wearable (a bloody tee shirt lah) to remind me to practice taijiquan in the hope that I will attain self actualization.

…yes indeed !!! My daughter Kimberly had participated in her annual kindergarten sports day and she and her mates won the “pass-the-ball-thru-the-leg” event. Now I know for certain this type of event won’t ever make it to the Olympics but I am very proud of her nonetheless as she and her classmates did their utmost best to win the event.
Kimberly, I am very proud of you and you deserve to be Number One..

I am the undisputed number one...
Since both of them were there, I.. July 9, 2009

..decided to buy them. Yep my never ending quest for Star Wars action figures had led me to find a Clone Scout Trooper and Commander Faie, a Clone Engineer. I bumped into them at one of the shops in of all places - Kuala Lumpur International Airport about 2 weeks ago when I was dropping off my wife for her flight to China. Now the Clone Scout Trooper was seen in the Star Wars – Revenge of the Sith during the battle of Kashyyyk but the Clone Engineer Commander Faie is a concept character that did not make an appearance in the movie itself. Commander Faie’s helmet design is similar to that of the Stormtroopers and honestly I kinda liking it very much. Overall the detailing of these two action figures are quite good in my opinion.

Commander Faie with his helmet on

Time is money and money is time. July 7, 2009

Last Friday, my company decided to send me on a one day trip to Jakarta to do some software installation.
I wasn’t really happy at the thought of a one day trip because it meant rushing things one would normally take a fair amount of time to do. I never rush in doing things because if you do, chances are you bound to make some boo-boos. But since time is money and money is time, I had no choice but to say “Yes boss, no problem one, can do one”.
And so I had to get on the earliest flight available to Jakarta and latest flight back to Kuala Lumpur because time is money and money is time.
The two hour flight was relatively uneventful with the occasional “Ladies and gentlemen, kindly fasten your seat belt as we are experiencing air turbulence ” thingy. I was sleeping most of the time because getting up at 3.45am just to be at the airport at least two hours before the flight would make any man or woman deprived of sleep.
Once I touch down at Jakarta, I was fresh and ready to work. Yes I am in Jakarta just for work and not for a holiday – shucks…
The software installation was rather straight forward though quite time consuming. I took my time but found out that I took too much time and since time is money and money is time, I had to quickly hasten the installation process – i.e I had to stop day dreaming and concentrate on work.
I almost panicked when I ran out of time and since time is money and money is time if I didn’t complete the software installation properly, I would have to stay an extra day and since time is money and money is time, this was not an option. Luckily for me – well for the company, my scheduled flight back to Kuala Lumpur had been delayed by almost two hours. So time was on my side and I duly wrapped whatever loose ends on my part and felt a sense of relief that I had complete the task at had since time is money and money is time.
Honestly I would never want to experienced a one-day business trip ever again and would never volunteer to do it. Too bad I didn’t have the luxury of time to really visit Jakarta and mingle with the people. To me it’s the people who brings life to a city.
Maybe next time when time is not money and money is not time, I shall bring the whole family to visit Jakarta.
